Modeling โ€“ Watch someone better than you. Not your buddy. A pro. 2. Roleplaying โ€“ Safe reps. Controlled feedback. Like sparring before a fight. 3. Testing โ€“ Quizzes, flashcards, drills. If you canโ€™t recall it, you donโ€™t know it. 4. Doing (with Feedback) โ€“ Real-world reps. You get betterโ€ฆ until you stop. 5. Teaching โ€“ If you canโ€™t explain it, you donโ€™t really understand it. Hereโ€™s what few will tell you: Most people stop at step 4. They do a thing enough to not mess it upโ€ฆ But they never sharpen the edge. They donโ€™t reflect. They donโ€™t ask, โ€œWhy did that work?โ€ or โ€œWhat did I miss?โ€ They hit โ€œgood enoughโ€ and coast. You donโ€™t just need more time in the gameโ€”you need higher-quality feedback. Otherwise, youโ€™re just reinforcing bad habits. Good reps with bad input donโ€™t make you better. They make you stuck. Model > Practice > Test > Do (with feedback) > Teach. Then repeatโ€”with more intention.
