Physically present. Razer Project AVA turned its AI assistant into a holographic animated Aavatar for gamers. That sounds like a gimmick until you pause and think about the direction. Iโ€™ve seen this before. Watching the Sci-Fi TV show Halo years ago, the AI wasnโ€™t something you opened. It was there. Watching. Listening. Helping. Sometimes getting in the way. Now itโ€™s leaking into real life. We also saw the opposite end of the spectrum. Rabbit R1 tried to make a physical AI companion. Big promise. Small execution. Spectacular failure. That doesnโ€™t mean the idea is wrong. It means the first versions usually are. The real concept here isnโ€™t anime aesthetics. Itโ€™s embodied AI. An AI that: Sees what you see Hears what you hear Knows what youโ€™re working on Responds in real time, without being asked to open an app The future could look like this... Youโ€™re buried in a complex spreadsheet. Instead of clicking another tool, you talk. The AI is already watching your formulas, your errors, your hesitation. It answers before frustration sets in. Useful or creepy? Both. Other use cases get uncomfortable fast. Truck drivers on long routes. The system notices eye movement slowing. Reaction time dropping. It intervenes as a safety mechanism. Factory floors. Repetitive work. Fatigue patterns. Errors before accidents. It warns workers, or management, or both. Auditing. Training. Real-time feedback loops. This is where the debate will land. Does this make people sharper? Or more distracted? Does it prevent mistakes? Or create a new kind of surveillance no one asked for? The technology doesnโ€™t decide that. The incentives do. Someone will figure this out. When they do, the keyboard-and-screen version of AI will feel primitive. The future isnโ€™t just smarter software. Itโ€™s software that shares the room with you. What do you think? Are you ready for the new AI future they are building?
